TEMPORARY/FULL TIME (12 WEEKS) REGISTERED COUNSELOR OPPORTUNITY- CA
About the role
Counselor will offer support and assistance to patients enrolled in Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorder. Utilizing evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach, the counselor will help patients develop coping techniques and symptom management skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services
- Direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patient need, best practices and state regulations
- Coordinate all services throughout treatment
- Conduct initial assessment and evaluation to determine eligibility for services
- Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment
- Establish individualized treatment plan with each patient and review as clinically indicated
- Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints
- Develop aftercare and discharge plans
- Other related duties as determined by supervisor
Qualifications
- Registered Counselor in the State of California
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus
- Demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward patient population
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
Pay
Salary Range: Salary ranges from $24.06 to $25.06 an hour. The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.
