Responsibilities

  • Review applications and contact qualified candidates to conduct initial phone screenings.
  • Schedule phone interviews, in-person interviews, and follow-up interviews with hiring managers.
  • Coordinate and schedule pre-employment drug screenings.
  • Maintain candidate communication throughout the hiring process by providing timely updates and interview details.
  • Create and maintain employment postings on recruiting platforms.
  • Assist with onboarding new associates by preparing new hire paperwork and coordinating orientation details.
  • Maintain accurate applicant and hiring records while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Support the HR team with recruiting, administrative tasks, and hiring events as needed.
  • Promote SCHEELS' culture and employment opportunities through positive interactions with candidates and associates.
  • Perform work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication and presentation skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Perform basic math and follow written, oral, and diagram instructions.

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Available to work a part-time schedule, primarily Monday through Friday during business hours, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Previous internship or experience in a human resources role is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.

Pay

Starting pay: $18.00/hour

Schedule

  • Flexible part-time schedule (20–25 hours per week).
  • Hours are typically worked Monday through Friday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with flexibility based on business needs and the selected candidate's availability.
  • Some evening or weekend hours may be required as needed.
  • Position type: Part-Time, Temporary (Approximately 3 Months).
