Compensation

$16 to $21 per hour, based on your experience. This is a full-time position starting immediately and ending in September 2026.

Why This Role Matters

As a Maintenance Technician I, you are the foundation of the maintenance team. You support property upkeep, complete routine repairs, and build essential trade skills that prepare you for advancement within multifamily maintenance.

What You’ll Do

  • Property Care & Basic Maintenance
    • Maintain property grounds and common areas.
    • Complete routine service requests and make-ready tasks.
    • Perform paint touch-ups and minor repairs.
    • Replace basic hardware, fixtures, screens, and outlets.
  • Operational Support
    • Assist with inspections and preventative maintenance.
    • Support seasonal preparation and storm response.
    • Maintain clean work and storage areas.
    • Respond to on-call and emergency service requests.

Experience

1+ year maintenance or porter experience (multifamily preferred).
Beginner-level exposure to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or painting.
High School Diploma or GED.

Skills

Ability to safely operate hand and basic power tools to complete minor repairs.
Understanding chemical safety procedures.
Basic computer and mobile literacy and familiarity with work-order systems.

Other Requirements

Availability: This position will require availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Demands: Regular periods of sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching as well as use of hands and arms. The role may require lifting to 50 pounds independently. The ability to respond promptly to both visual and auditory alarms is essential. Specific vision requirements include the ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The team member must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, and sleet. Working at a personal computer for administrative tasks and using mobile devices while in the field is required.
