About the role
The temporary Human Resources (HR) Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the HR department, maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This position reports to the HR Manager and is contracted through a third-party service provider, not a direct employment position with Tronox.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Support recruitment activities, including posting jobs, screening resumes, coordinating, and facilitating interviews.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes (documentation, orientations, system access).
- Provide administrative support for HR initiatives and projects, including coordination, documentation, and follow-up.
- Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR programs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor laws.
- Prepare HR reports and documentation.
- Consistently demonstrate Tronox Core Values.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; 4-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of HR or administrative experience preferred.
- Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and employment legislation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
- Must be clean-shaven in areas where facial hair would interfere with the proper fit and seal of a respirator (no beards, sideburns, or excessive growth).
- Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, etc., and move in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.
- Constantly remain stationary for prolonged periods, standing and sitting, and perform repetitive motions involving hands and wrists.
- Constantly assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work and communicate with others to exchange information.
- Occasionally work in varied environments, including extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, rainy), elevated noisy areas, poor ventilation, confined spaces.
- Occasionally lift, move, and adjust objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
