Temporary HR Service Center Representative (Bilingual - Spanish)

Your Role on the Team

Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers, providing exceptional customer service via phone, email, chat, and case management systems for HR-related inquiries.

Respond to questions regarding benefits, leave administration, payroll, onboarding, talent acquisition, and UC policies by researching issues and providing accurate, timely resolutions.

Investigate and resolve complex or escalated cases by collaborating with HR subject matter experts, UC PATH, UC Office of the President, and external vendors when needed.

Promote self-service resources, maintain knowledge management documentation, and share best practices to improve service quality, consistency, and operational efficiency.

Required What It Takes to be Successful

• Fluent bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service or HR support experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex HR policies, procedures, and processes to diverse audiences.
• Excellent problem-solving, research, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using case management, CRM, or HRIS systems.

Preferred Experience

• Supporting human resources functions such as benefits, leave administration, payroll, onboarding, or talent acquisition.
• Knowledge of UC policies and procedures, UCPath, or other higher education HR systems.
• Experience working in a shared services, employee service center, or call center environment with established service level agreements (SLAs).
• Experience developing or maintaining knowledge base articles, process documentation, or self-service resources.
