Temporary Housekeeper II, Full-Time, 40 hours, 1st Shift, Putnam, CT (3 Months)
Job Summary
The Housekeeper II will clean and service building areas according to established procedures. Duties include moving furniture, equipment, and supplies, trash removal, and responding to emergencies.
Job Responsibilities
- Project work on floors using automatic floor equipment.
- Total patient room cleaning following established procedures.
- Moves equipment and furniture for relocation of offices, for cleaning and rearrangement.
- Trash removal and recycling.
- May collect hazardous/medical waste.
- Clean entrances and parking lot of debris and trash.
- Provides on-call coverage for weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Responds to emergency codes.
Education and Experience Requirements
A High School Diploma or GED is preferred. Prior experience performing cleaning operations in a hospital, industrial, or office setting, with minimum three months training, is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to operate cleaning devices, such as automatic floor equipment, buffers, commercial vacuums, mops and wringers, and other necessary tools, products, and supplies.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
