Temporary Faculty Political Science and International Studies

About the Role
The Department of Political Science and International Studies is accepting applications for a pool of part-time faculty positions for the academic year 2026-2027. These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis and are located in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the B.A. programs in Political Science and/or International Studies.
- Teach in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, and online).
- Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, International Studies, or a closely allied field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Political Science, International Relations, or International Studies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching large (80+ persons) introductory-level college courses in International Studies, World Politics, or American Government.
- Prior teaching experience in both online and face-to-face modalities.
Skills
- Engaging customer service and ability to support various university constituencies.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office, Google applications, and other position-specific software.
- Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational, and human relations skills.
- Adherence to University policies and procedures to meet institutional goals and support the University’s mission for student success.
All work must be completed while physically present in the state of Georgia unless specifically authorized. Faculty are expected to contribute to the university community by engaging students, participating in events, and performing other on-campus responsibilities.
