Temporary Elections Job - Equipment & Supplies Worker

Responsibilities

• Prepare supplies (counting and filling envelopes, writing serial numbers, completing forms, working with hand tools, and counting in numerical order)
• Assist with loading and unloading machines at poll locations
• Test equipment following written directions
• Package and label materials
• Operate pallet jack and hand dolly

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check
• Possess a mobile phone capable of text communication
• Attention to detail
• Ability to sit and/or stand all day
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to follow written and oral directions
• Computer literacy
• Ability to count accurately and file in numerical order
• Ability to read and write neatly
• Ability to work in both fast- and slow-paced environments (work can be repetitious)
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays (early mornings and late evenings may be required)
• Ability to work individually and in teams
• Safe and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed at federal rate when using personal vehicle; SOE vehicle provided when available)

Dress Code

• Long pants required
• Collared shirt (polo or button-up) required when working in the field

Pay

$16.50 per hour
