Temporary Billing Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer all aspects of client account analysis and billing.
• Interpret and apply complex client billing guidelines.
• Analyze, track, and manage e-bills requiring appeals due to deductions, including specialty legal billing matters.
• Generate, review, and edit prebills, invoices, and billing reports within a law firm environment.
• Process high-volume billing accurately and efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
• Prioritize and work effectively under pressure.
• Collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, and business professionals.

Requirements

• Five (5) years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience with electronic third-party billing applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Proficiency with legal billing and financial management systems, including Elite, Elite 3E, Aderant Expert, SurePoint, CMS, or similar law firm billing software.
• The ability and willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet client and firm deadlines.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Prior experience with Elite 3E strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic billing vendor platforms such as Legal Tracker, CounselLink, Collaborati, TyMetrix 360°, or similar systems is a plus.
