Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and administer all aspects of client account analysis and billing.
- Interpret and apply complex client billing guidelines.
- Analyze, track, and manage e-bills requiring appeals due to deductions, including specialty legal billing matters.
- Generate, review, and edit prebills, invoices, and billing reports within a law firm environment.
- Process high-volume billing accurately and efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
- Prioritize and work effectively under pressure.
Requirements
- Experience with electronic third-party billing applications.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex client billing guidelines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Proficiency with legal billing and financial management systems, including Elite, Elite 3E, Aderant Expert, SurePoint, CMS, or similar law firm billing software.
- Experience generating, reviewing, and editing prebills, invoices, and billing reports within a law firm environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, and business professionals.
- The ability and willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet client and firm deadlines.
Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years of legal billing experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Prior experience with Elite 3E strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of electronic billing vendor platforms such as Legal Tracker, CounselLink, Collaborati, TyMetrix 360°, or similar systems is a plus.
