Temporary Bi-Lingual Clinical Interviewer
About the role
The Bronx clinic (funded $12+million) of the Hispanic Community Health Study is 1 of 4 national sites contracted by the government to recruit Hispanic Latino adults residing in the Bronx territory. Recruiters are required to bring in a total of 4,000 participants into the study. To do so, they must be physically fit (walk up/down stairs in non elevator buildings, carry a laptop and/or study equipment), communicable (various Spanish speaking tongues and cultural acceptances), computer literate etc.
Responsibilities
- Prepare mailing packets to be sent to medical facilities and prepare materials for study visits
- Maintain electronic logs in study databases
- Assist with data tracking and quality review
- Printing and preparing health education resources.
- Assisting with REDCap data entry, generating reports, and reviewing Epic provider panels for eligible study participants.
- Updating internal tracking systems (Excel and REDCap) with recruitment contact attempts and outcomes.
- Communicating effectively with the study team, including the Program Manager, Study Coordinator, and Clinical Interviewer.
- Recruitment of participants into study utilizing both Spanish and English skills
- Manage, organize and file paper copy medical records for hospitalized and deceased study participants
- Review and scan medical releases of information for submission to hospitals and medical facilities
- Organize and redact medical records for submission to coordinating center
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications
High School Graduate plus 6 months - 1 year of clerical experience required.
Skills and Competencies
- Must be able to communicate well with others.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Pay
Hiring Rate: $26.37/hr; Post Probationary Rate: $26.90/hr; Job Rate: $28.02/hr. Minimum Salary Range: USD $26.37/Hr.; Maximum Salary Range: USD $26.37/Hr.
Schedule
This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of six (6) months.
