About the role
Syracuse University is seeking a Temporary Clinical Research Interviewer to support up to two federally funded studies on trauma-related drinking conducted within the IMPACT Lab in the Department of Psychology.
Responsibilities
- Receive formal training in alcohol use assessment through the Timeline Followback (TLFB) calendar approach
- Receive formal training in the Clinician-Administered PTSD Scale for DSM-5 (CAPS-5) diagnostic interview for PTSD
- Receive training on additional elements of the study protocol as relevant
- Administer the TLFB, CAPS-5, and additional self-report study assessments to enrolled participants in the context of study sessions
- Receive feedback on assessment administration from the faculty principal investigator
- Engage in additional administration and support activities as relevant for assigned participants (e.g., tracking and rescheduling participants, inputting collected data)
Requirements
- Experience conducting psychological assessments and/or performing structured clinical diagnostic interviews is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, mental health, behavioral sciences, or a related field
- Prior experience and interest conducting research in psychology or social sciences
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated evidence of basic psychological assessment skills
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
