About the Role

This position is responsible for receiving payroll information from assigned clients and/or Payroll Specialists and providing support. The role resolves high-volume requests by taking ownership and coordinating with internal departments to achieve positive resolutions. It also ensures the integrity of the client and employee database while meeting all compliance requirements. The Associate Payroll Specialist I focuses on learning payroll processes after completing Insperity training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Services Core/Emerging Growth clients by supporting specialists with employee changes, payroll information updates, and calculations.
  • Upholds the integrity of the client and employee database and ensures all compliances are met.
  • Trains with the National Associate Payroll team, Supervisor, and Payroll Trainers to develop skill levels.
  • Attends weekly department meetings and reviews procedure manuals on a semi-monthly basis.
  • Establishes clear communications with payroll specialists, clients, and team members to better serve the client.
  • Consults with Supervisor and Payroll Trainer when responding to new or different questions from clients and employees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience is required.
