Temporary Assistant Head Cook

Temporary position from August 24, 2026 through approximately November 20, 2026 (possibility of extension).

Schedule

• 6:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., Monday through Friday
• 8.0 hours per day

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Cook in preparing and serving food, and cleanup following breakfast and lunch
• Assume responsibilities when the Head Cook is absent
• Help manage inventory and staff
• Accurately complete order guides and production records
• Maintain professional interactions with all staff

Requirements

• Must be Serve Safe certified or able to obtain certification within the first 90 days of employment
• Good communication skills and dependability
• Ability to adjust quickly to change, work at a fast pace, and multitask
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in extreme temperatures (heat, freezer)
• Knowledge of fryers, slicers, mixers, steamers, and ovens
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and criminal background check

Pay

Salary based on the 2025-2027 School Support Employees' Agreement Level VI: $22.64 to $25.07 per hour.
