About the Role

The Milestone Temp Transport Service Driver L1 is responsible for safely driving and delivering materials and goods to support the Transport Service Team in daily operations, ensuring compliance with standards and excellent service quality. This is a full-time, onsite position that may involve working in large warehouses, data centers, and internal transport services.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive to designated destinations to deliver inventory and goods.
• Collect inventory/goods from designated points and ensure all client documents for transfer are compliant with agreed processes.
• Secure inventory/goods in the vehicle to ensure safe transportation.
• Provide input to the Transport Service Dispatcher to plan the safest and most efficient routes, considering road conditions, traffic, and local restrictions.
• Use GPS navigation apps and local knowledge to deliver goods in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.
• Operate box trucks and cargo vans (no commercial driver’s license required) in accordance with safety procedures.
• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and document findings.
• Assist in scheduling regular maintenance checks on assigned vehicles and report any issues to management.
• Operate vehicles safely in inclement weather conditions such as snow or ice.
• Ensure inventory/goods are delivered in good condition and maintain professional interactions with Milestone and client colleagues.
• Unload inventory/goods at the destination and obtain client signatures for successful transfer documentation.
• Apply knowledge of Transport Safety best practices and 5S for Safety and Organization.
• Complete all assigned training and attend operational meetings to support Transport Service execution.
• Maintain timely attendance and present a professional demeanor.
• Lift boxes up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Current valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check.
• Willingness to learn new skills, including inventory control, priority management, and workflow.
• Proficiency with computers, iPads, and iPhones.
• Ability to perform physical labor and work in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Initiative to complete tasks independently when required.
• Agility to manage changing workload priorities as directed by the Transport Service Dispatcher.
• Positive, respectful, and professional attitude in all interactions.
• Competency in workplace safety basics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for the duration of the shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of box truck driving experience.
• Minimum 1 year of material handling experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution center environment.
• Proficiency in Windows, Apple (Mac and iPad), and peripheral devices.
• Versatility, flexibility, and enthusiasm for changing priorities.
• Good judgment and ability to make timely, sound decisions.
• Understanding of all safety requirements and precautions.

Pay

Estimated pay range: $27.03 - $28.00 USD per hour. This is a non-exempt role. Exact compensation will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
