Job Summary
The Registered Nurse leads the health care team, providing professional nursing care according to established standards, policies, and procedures. The role adheres to Kaiser Permanente’s Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan.
Essential Responsibilities
Upholds Kaiser Permanente’s Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.
Serves as a leader of the health care team; delegates tasks appropriately, and demonstrates accountability.
Understands own and team members’ scope of practice and escalates issues as necessary.
Demonstrates professional, supportive behavior; champions new ideas; leads and directs others through the change process; uses communication strategies including chain of command and issue escalation.
Shares responsibility and authority with subordinates and holds them accountable for performance; collaborates with other departments to assist in member problem resolution.
Complies with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
Develops and/or contributes to the individualized plan of care that reflects assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the outcomes of that plan.
Maintains a clean, orderly, and functional work environment; treats all families of patients with courtesy, respect, kindness, and compassion.
Provides an optimal patient care experience by actively listening to the needs of patients and family members and taking responsibility for meeting those needs.
Works every other weekend and some holidays.
Adheres to the Kaiser Permanente Authorized States policy.
Experience
Minimum one (1) year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Emergency Department.
Registered Nurse License (California).
Basic Life Support Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Additional Requirements
This position is a temporary seasonal position, non-benefited with a commitment duration of 5 months from date of hire.
Will be required to work every other weekend and some holiday.
FT or PT non-benefited, commitment of 5 months from date of hire.
Primary Location: California, Riverside, Riverside Medical Center/Medical Offices 1.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36.
Shift: Night.
Working Hours Start: 07:30 PM.
Working Hours End: 08:00 AM.
