About the Role

Provide office support services within a campus unit, including organizing and preparing correspondence, reports, and other documentation; scheduling meetings and events; maintaining files; and assisting customers with their service needs. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs.

This position will interact on a consistent basis with unit management and staff, vendors, and office visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Compose routine correspondence; prepare and route correspondence, reports, and other documentation.
  • Compile and organize data for use in reports.
  • Schedule and make arrangements for meetings and other events.
  • Make travel arrangements for unit staff as directed.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory.
  • Maintain filing system.
  • Receive and refer phone calls; greet and direct office visitors.
  • Gather pertinent information regarding customer service needs.
  • Respond to customer questions or concerns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED Certificate, or Vocational School Diploma.
  • Up to two years of job-related experience.
  • Ability to work outside of typical business hours as needed, potentially including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills

  • General office administration, including document preparation and processing, records management, event planning, and organization.
  • Spoken and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency in basic office-related computer applications.
