Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member-owned, and locally operated financial institution serving the financial needs of its communities. Schedule

  • Monday & Wednesday: 8:45 am – 5:30 pm
  • Friday: 8:45 am – 6:30 pm
  • 2 Saturdays per quarter

Pay

Starting range: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour, depending on work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome members in a professional manner.
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in processing transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, while adhering to Credit Union policy.
  • Maintain cash drawer or cash dispenser with minimal discrepancies.
  • Stay up-to-date on applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Perform additional teller duties such as issuing money orders, processing debit card disputes, issuing temporary and cashier’s checks, ordering checks, opening/closing sub-accounts, and processing stop payments.
  • Respond to member requests, problems, and complaints; answer questions regarding account issues, products, and services; and perform account maintenance.
  • Review account information for restrictions and funds availability; provide members with account status updates.
  • Analyze and research account issues.
  • May serve as the branch Membership Officer or Security Specialist.
  • May review completed loans and/or titles for accuracy.
  • Train to operate the vault, balance the ATM, and open/close the branch as needed.
  • May open new membership accounts and process, close, and disperse consumer loan applications.
  • Work as a productive and contributive team member to meet branch and Credit Union goals.
  • Meet and exceed members’ expectations while maintaining efficient service; follow Service Standards at all times.
  • Counsel members about Credit Union products and services based on their needs; promote services accordingly.
  • Educate and assist members with electronic and online services, such as online banking, mobile applications, and remote deposit.
  • Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Represent the Credit Union professionally in appearance, behavior, and performance.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance; work cooperatively with others.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to execute primary responsibilities satisfactorily.
  • Must successfully complete a teller test at the conclusion of teller training; may complete New Accounts and Lending training.
  • Cash handling and service-industry experience strongly preferred; some positions may require prior teller, new accounts, or lending experience.
