Responsibilities

• Provides an exceptional customer experience by delivering personalized service and consistently looking for ways to “WOW” customers.
• Processes a variety of financial transactions, including check cashing, cash deposits, loan payments, counting currency and coin accurately, and merchant transactions.
• Maintains accurate records of each customer in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures.
• Answers customer questions with a can-do attitude, no matter how complex or technical.
• Complies with all security procedures and bank regulations that apply to the position.
• Maintains working knowledge of policies and procedures that apply to the role.
• Safeguards assigned, branch, and customer cash according to security procedures.
• Holds financial conversations to determine customer needs and refers appropriate solutions.
• Identifies referral opportunities to maintain relationships and add value for all customers.
• Actively cross-sells bank products and services.
• Participates in branch or bank-wide campaigns.
• Maintains and submits customer referrals and reports as required.
• Works as a team to meet and exceed individual and team goals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Teller I: 6 months or more of experience in cash handling and customer service.
• Teller II: 1+ year(s) of experience in cash handling and customer service, and 1+ year(s) of experience in a financial institution and/or teller experience.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Must be able to move and lift items up to 20 lbs and perform other light physical work.
• Must be able to operate standard office equipment, including phone, personal computer, and copier.
• Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers.
• Must be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
• Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
• Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time.
• Must be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
