Responsibilities
- Perform limited transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with accuracy and efficiency using a computer.
- Provide basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate transactional records and balance each day’s cash drawer according to Teller Accuracy Guidelines.
- Refer members to Member Service Representatives for products and services that best meet their financial needs.
- Remain vigilant for counterfeit monetary instruments.
- Teller II only: Serve as a mentor (teller trainer) for newly hired Teller I incumbents and assist with basic new member account opening processes.
- Teller II only: Explain ATM operations and online banking features.

Requirements
- Adherence to BSA, Privacy Act, and Elder Abuse reporting is mandatory.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to learn and apply procedures.
- Willingness to report to different branch locations or provide service through multiple channels, including branches and Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs).
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience:
- Teller I: Six (6) months of cash handling, sales, customer service, or teller experience.
- Teller II: Twelve (12) months of cash handling, sales, customer service, or teller experience.
Pay
Hourly salary range, depending on experience and qualifications:
- Teller I: $15.00 - $20.69 per hour
- Teller II: $16.28 - $22.77 per hour

Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, keyboards, or controls; talk and hear.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, or kneel.
- Must regularly lift and/or move files and equipment up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
