Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate, efficient cash receipt and payment transactions in accordance with credit-union policies and Teller Accuracy Guidelines.
  • Maintain precise transactional records and balance the cash drawer daily.
  • Refer members to Member Service Representatives for products and services that meet their financial needs.
  • Remain vigilant against counterfeit currency and potential fraud.
  • Teller II only: Mentor newly hired Teller I staff, train on basic new-member account opening, and explain ATM and online-banking features.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Teller I: six months of cash-handling, sales, customer-service, or teller experience.
  • Teller II: twelve months of cash-handling, sales, customer-service, or teller experience.
  • Adherence to BSA, Privacy Act, and elder-abuse reporting regulations.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and apply procedures.
  • Willingness to work at different branch locations and serve members via Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs).

Pay

Hourly salary range based on experience and qualifications:

  • Teller I: $15.00 – $19.92
  • Teller II: $15.43 – $21.59

Physical demands

  • Regularly sit, use hands/fingers to operate keyboards and handle objects.

  • Close vision and ability to adjust focus for extended computer-screen use.
