About the role

The Telepsychiatry Coordinator performs moderately complex administrative support work and routinely interacts with treatment team members. This position manages the scheduling of Telepsychiatry services and orchestrates the logistics of patients and Telepsychiatry providers.

Responsibilities

  • Attends work on a regular basis and may be asked to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Oversees and manages the scheduling of Telepsychiatry services provided by psychiatrists, psychologists and APRNs utilizing shareable databases to ensure cohesiveness.
  • Actively coordinates and participates in shift reporting and recovery team meetings, or meetings with treatment team staff when needed to communicate suggestions, concerns, or issues with the provision of Telepsychiatry services.
  • Instructs other PNAs on the process of escorting patients to the Telepsychiatry appointments.
  • Instructs other staff on specific hospital and unit/program procedures and policies as related to the provision of Telepsychiatry services.
  • Synthesizes large amounts of information into a clearly written and concise document.
  • Coordinates team members so that schedules are maintained.

Requirements

  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a professional support role.

Qualifications

Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures
Knowledge of HIPPA and confidentiality rules
Proficient knowledge and skills in computer use and the written language including spelling, punctuation, medical as well as psychiatric terminology.
Skills in the use of standard office equipment and software
Organizational skills required to manage a complex schedule for multiple providers schedules are maintained.
Ability to be productive and responsible in a professional environment.
Ability to communicate effectively using both oral and written methods.
Ability to work with others and accept supervision.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

Pay

$2,953.25 - $4,365.66 monthly
