Telephone Operator (PBX)**

Responsibilities

• Answer the hospital switchboard and pages overhead.
• Greet and direct people to the appropriate departments.
• Monitor hospital alarms and follow policy and procedures for all hospital emergency codes.
• Communicate effectively with the population served.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required for all new hires effective 4/1/14).
• Previous PBX experience preferred.
• Previous experience in an office or receptionist role.
• Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs, and meet required timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service experience preferred.
