Telephone Operator (PBX )

Responsibilities

• Answer the switchboard and pages overhead.
• Greet and direct people to the appropriate departments.
• Monitor Hospital alarms and be aware of the policy and procedures of all hospital emergency codes.
• Communicate effectively with the population served.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required for all new hires effective 4/1/14).
• Previous PBX experience preferred.
• Previous experience in office or receptionist roles.
• Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Schedule

Part Time (more than 59% of full-time hours), Day Shift.
