Telemetry Tech - Monitor Room

About the role

UAB St. Vincent’s Chilton offers a PRN schedule with shifts ranging from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. during the day and 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. during the night.

Responsibilities

• Perform various activities regarding telemetry monitoring on patients requiring continual cardiac monitoring.
• Oversight and communication of cardiac patterns on telemetric devices.
• Maintenance of telemetry monitoring equipment and supply inventory.
• Documentation of irregular rhythms and monitoring changes in heartbeat.
• Forwarding of changes to nurses and/or attending physicians for analysis and interpretation.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
• High school diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
