Telemetry Nursing Manager
About the role
The Manager of Medical Surgical RN oversees the daily function and staffing of the unit/department, ensuring high quality, patient-centered care. They monitor and evaluate nursing care, support compliance with standards of care, and foster a culture of accountability and transparency.
Responsibilities
- Operationalize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes
- Ensure adherence to standards of care and compliance with policies and procedures
- Manage admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care
- Facilitate effective interdisciplinary care coordination within and across departments
- Assign staff with appropriate clinical competencies to meet patient care needs
- Manage nursing practice and unit operations
- Maintain staffing in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines
- Manage operating expenses, including the utilization of supplies and equipment
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement actions to achieve savings
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Registered Nurse
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1+ year of healthcare experience required
