About the role
This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a small-format hospital setting, focusing on inpatient, PCU, step-down, or telemetry units.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care tailored to age and clinical needs using advanced nursing knowledge.
- Follow physician orders and ensure patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Adhere to infection control, aseptic techniques, and legal standards in all procedures.
- Collect lab samples, perform tests, and assist with diagnostic or treatment procedures.
- Manage patient admission, discharge, and transfer processes.
- Prepare equipment and supplies, and support treatment procedures as needed.
- Participate in quality assessment activities and team meetings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
- Current RN licensure in the state without sanctions.
- Minimum of 2 years full-time RN experience in Telemetry, ICU, or related healthcare roles.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or Red Cross; PALS preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- For Pennsylvania candidates, background clearances must be completed or obtained prior to employment.
