About the role
Provides clinical leadership in an acute inpatient setting with a focus on patient/family-centered care. Demonstrates clinical proficiency using evidence-based practices across assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Ensures safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards, including infection control, medication administration, and licensure requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, develops and updates individualized care plans, and collaborates with healthcare team and families.
- Delegates tasks appropriately, monitors care quality, and ensures patient safety.
- Utilizes performance indicators for quality improvement and maintains documentation accuracy.
- Educates patients and families, assessing learning needs and ensuring continuity of care post-discharge.
- Reflects on practice for ongoing professional development and adheres to policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), with at least one year of RN experience or completion of a nurse residency or LPN experience for internal candidates.
- Current RN licensure in a recognized jurisdiction.
Skills
- Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical judgment skills.
Schedule
Day shift role in a hospital setting, with the potential for weekend, holiday, and on-call work. No management responsibilities, reporting to a supervisor. Maintains professional licensure and adheres to all organizational policies.
