Telehealth Technology Coordinator

About the role
The Telehealth Technology Coordinator (TTC) supports the efficiency, ease of use and reliability of telehealth and other connected care programs that occur in or originate from a facility. The TTC will bring telehealth devices to a patient’s bedside and facilitate activities such as teleconsultation with remote providers (e.g. palliative care, hepatologists, intensivists, ethics), inpatient remote rounding, family video visits with or without the care team, virtual interpreting services, post-discharge remote monitoring, and all other current/future inpatient telehealth-related initiatives.
TTCs will also work with Information Services to track, troubleshoot, manage, and maintain telehealth devices, ensuring optimal patient and staff experience. This position works with hospital leadership, including the CNO, VPMA, CNIO, and Director of Patient Experience, as well as under the direction of the MedStar Telehealth Innovation Center leadership in strategic planning, creating and implementing patient experience initiatives, optimizing administrative and clinical telehealth-related workflows, and helping with growth projects.
Responsibilities include data entry/support and in-person patient interaction. These functions are performed in accordance with MedStar Health’s philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

- Support the efficiency, ease of use, and reliability of telehealth and connected care programs.
- Facilitate telehealth activities at the patient’s bedside, including teleconsultations, remote rounding, family video visits, virtual interpreting, and post-discharge monitoring.
- Track, troubleshoot, manage, and maintain telehealth devices in collaboration with Information Services.
- Work with hospital leadership and the Telehealth Innovation Center on strategic planning, workflow optimization, and growth projects.
- Coordinate and manage efficient patient flow using telemedicine practices.
- Provide prompt, professional, and compassionate patient and consumer support.
- Perform data entry and in-person patient interaction duties.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of healthcare experience, administrative healthcare experience, or a recent bachelor’s degree with an interest in healthcare.
- Associate’s degree preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Comfortable in a patient-facing role with in-room patient interaction.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to troubleshoot and manage telehealth devices.
Schedule
Must be able to work one of the following shifts:
- Monday–Friday: 11:30 AM–8:00 PM
- Friday–Tuesday: 3:30 PM–12:00 AM (Off Wednesday/Thursday)
Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.00–$25.00 per hour.
