Telehealth Associate Psychiatrist MO - P/T

About the role

This is a part-time, 20-hour-per-week position on the dayshift, delivered via telehealth. Candidates must hold an active Missouri medical license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose and treat mental health disorders, primarily in an inpatient setting with some outpatient responsibilities.
• Provide clinical coverage support to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
• Create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
• Perform chart audits, peer reviews, meetings, and provider management tasks.
• Maintain up-to-date medical records in compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
• Monitor and maintain confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to ensure all services are documented; review patient status to verify completion of treatment and therapeutic programs.
• Collaborate closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
• Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management.
• Comply with applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards, and contracts.

Requirements

• Active Missouri Medical License and DEA registration.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Proficiency in using telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely.
• Open to collaboration with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) (preferred).

Pay

The pay range for this role is $180–$195 USD per hour (Missouri).
