Overnight Telehealth Psychiatrist - MO

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders in an acute care setting.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
• Create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
• Chart audits, peer review, meetings, provider management, etc.
• Maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
• Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.
• Work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
• Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management.
• Comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.

Qualifications

• Hold an active Missouri (MO) medical license. An additional TX, KS, LA license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility is preferred.
• Have 2 years of inpatient experience (trauma experience required).
• Be Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry.
• Have a valid and unrestricted DEA.
• Be proficient in using Telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely.
• Be open to PMHNP collaboration (preferred).

12 hour shifts available, 2-3 evenings per week

Compensation: dependent on experience and contract type
