Evening/Overnight Telehealth Psychiatrist - P/T

Schedule

Evenings or Overnights (3pm–Midnight or 11pm–7am)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders in an acute-care setting.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed.
• Create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.
• Perform chart audits, peer reviews, meetings, and provider management.
• Maintain up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.
• Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to ensure all services provided are documented; review patient status to verify completion of treatment and therapeutic programs.
• Work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.
• Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management.
• Comply with applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards, and/or contracts.

Requirements

• Active North Carolina (NC) medical license (required).
• Additional state licenses or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility (preferred).
• 1 year of inpatient experience (trauma experience required).
• Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry.
• Valid and unrestricted DEA.
• Proficient in using telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely.
• Open to PMHNP collaboration (preferred).
