About the role
This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management within a healthcare environment. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations, strengthening responsible execution, improving decision-making, and supporting sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations in Emergency Departments
- Perform psychiatric admissions and develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain updated medical records and ensure compliance with state regulations and facility policies
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrative care
- Provide immediate psychiatric support during crises and work towards preventive mental health management
- Engage in chart audits, peer reviews, and staff meetings as part of quality assurance
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina medical license; FL and TX preferred
- 2 years of inpatient experience, with trauma experience required
- Board Certified or Eligible in Psychiatry within 1 year of residency completion
- Valid and unrestricted DEA license required
- Proficient in Telemedicine technologies for remote patient treatment
- Open to PMHNP collaboration preferred

Pay
$180,000 – $220,000 annually
