Evening Telehealth Psychiatrist - NC

About the role

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management within a healthcare environment. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations, strengthening responsible execution, improving decision-making, and supporting sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations in Emergency Departments
• Perform psychiatric admissions and develop individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Maintain updated medical records and ensure compliance with state regulations and facility policies
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrative care
• Provide immediate psychiatric support during crises and work towards preventive mental health management
• Engage in chart audits, peer reviews, and staff meetings as part of quality assurance

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina medical license; FL and TX preferred
• 2 years of inpatient experience, with trauma experience required
• Board Certified or Eligible in Psychiatry within 1 year of residency completion
• Valid and unrestricted DEA license required
• Proficient in Telemedicine technologies for remote patient treatment
• Open to PMHNP collaboration preferred

Pay

$180,000 – $220,000 annually
