Telecommunications Officer, Part-Time

Part-time position located in Gambier, OH. Hours and shifts vary based on coverage needs, including weekends and holidays.

Pay

• $18.50 per hour for shifts between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM
• $20.00 per hour for shifts between 3:00 PM and 7:00 AM
• Double pay for shifts worked during recognized college holidays

Responsibilities

• Operate the dispatch center within the Office of Campus Safety, handling safety operations such as gathering and disseminating information about criminal incidents, emergency medical incidents, hazardous incidents, potentially violent incidents, auto accidents, and others
• Collaborate with shift Supervisors, the Director of Campus Safety, the Associate Director of Campus Safety, and the Division of Student Affairs to log and report information from general campus calls and situations
• Demonstrate proficiency in hearing normal conversation and radio traffic
• Demonstrate ability to see and read small print on a computer screen
