Telecommunications Engineer
The Opportunity
Lead communication designs and coordinate with other disciplines
Create conceptual and detailed systems designs, including producing design drawings, specifications, and design analysis deliverables
Cookordination with a BIM/CAD team for drawing production
Perform quality control duties and independent technical reviews
Manage assigned budgets, scopes, and schedules
Mentor and provide guidance/instruction to less experienced staff members
Other Potential Duties
May perform fieldwork and write assessment reports
May assist with the creation of design guides and templates
May provide support to business development or pursuit activities

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, BICSI industry standards, codes, and best practices related to the design of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), low voltage, and telecommunications systems
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems from a safety and constructability perspective
- Strong knowledge of inside plant (ISP) cabling infrastructure to include telecommunications spaces and pathways, copper, and optical fiber cabling and connectivity
- Experience in outside plant (OSP) design of copper and fiber optic communication systems
- Experience in audio-visual (AV) system design
- 4 years of experience designing applicable telecommunication systems
Minimum Qualifications
- All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
- Certified Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification (required)
- Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) certification (preferred)
