About the role

The Technology Support Specialist for Technology and A/V plays a crucial role in supporting the district's technology and audio-visual needs. This position focuses on providing training, troubleshooting, and maintaining technology and audio-visual equipment across various district locations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technology and A/V skills training for staff on all district technology devices.
  • Installs, configures, troubleshoots, upgrades, maintains, and repairs audio/visual equipment at all district locations.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with safety and building regulations related to audio/visual equipment.
  • Collaborates with the Desktop & Device Specialist on device and/or software installations in the building.
  • Collaborates with the Ed Tech Learning Coach to create training materials that support best practices in technology integration.
  • Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves hardware, software, and operating system problems and questions that occur during daily use.
  • Logs and follows up on all open or pending service requests for the buildings to ensure they are resolved.
  • Supports staff members in the use of technology, a/v tools, and website design and maintenance as identified by the district.
  • Demonstrates hardware and operating system functionality to staff.
  • Communicates with building administrators regarding Technology and A/V needs, evaluates requests, and develops recommendations based on best practices.
  • Serves as a technical liaison for media, sound, and lighting needs for events in NPSD.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of Technology and A/V training and troubleshooting experience, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of basic technology, A/V, and networking concepts.
  • Google Suite Tools and other educational technology tools.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually.

Schedule

The Technology Support Specialist works 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week, and 261 days per year.
