Responsibilities
- Serve as the first responder to all technology needs/requests with a positive, caring, efficient, and effective manner.
- Monitor and respond to requests for technology assistance via telephone, email, or in person, ensuring inquiries are addressed promptly and with a resolution.
- Provide remote support for common software, hardware, and working practice problems, offering verbal, written, or recorded step-by-step solutions.
- Plan, assign, direct, and guide technology support for complex issues that cannot be resolved quickly or remotely.
- Communicate technical information to end users seeking assistance.
- Broaden knowledge and skills by researching and finding solutions to problems, staying current with technology systems and solutions.
- Create and maintain help documentation for common problems, monitor and track support requests, and communicate data to the department for planning.
- Create and maintain user accounts and permissions on technology systems, assist with technology purchasing, inventory, and check-in/out, and provide student device support as needed.
- Complete special projects for the department, such as website updates and annual system updates.
- Build and maintain a safe, fair, and respectful working and learning environment that honors cultural diversity.
