Technology Solutions Representative
About the role
Mustang Cat is seeking a Technology Solutions Representative to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving problems, influencing customers, and delivering measurable results.
Responsibilities
- Own the technology sales cycle – identify opportunities, build pipeline, quote, close, and follow up
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Caterpillar technology solutions, including: VisionLink & VisionLink Productivity, Cat Grade (2D/3D) Systems, Cat Command (remote operation), Cat Payload & Compaction technologies, Cat Detect & safety systems
- Partner with Machine Sales Reps and PSSRs to uncover and develop technology opportunities
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations, jobsite evaluations, and customer presentations
- Consult with customers to recommend solutions that improve productivity, safety, and ROI
- Led implementation and onboarding of technology systems post-sale
- Train customers on system usage, data insights, and best practices
- Analyze equipment and productivity data to help customers optimize performance
- Support troubleshooting and coordinate with service teams as needed
- Act as the bridge between customers, sales, service, and Caterpillar
- Stay ahead of industry trends, product updates, and emerging technologies
Requirements
Proven success in sales, technical support, or construction equipment industry
Strong understanding of heavy equipment applications or jobsite operations
Ability to translate technical solutions into business value for customers
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated with strong ownership and accountability
Comfortable working in both field and customer-facing environments
Proficiency with technology platforms, data, and reporting tools
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Caterpillar technology (VisionLink, Grade, Payload, etc.)
Background in construction, GPS/machine control, or equipment technology
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
