Required Education 4 Year Degree St. James’ Episcopal School is looking for a full-time Technology & Design Thinking teacher for students in grades K-6 for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will take a student-centered approach to all school work and will use the School’s mission to support the academic, extracurricular, social, and emotional success of students. We are looking for a Technology & Design Thinking teacher who is confident in their ability to: Design and implement a creative, engaging curriculum for students in grades K-6 that teaches design thinking and coding.Teach word processing/typing, media literacy, and digital citizenship to all students. Monitor students’ use of technology in the classroom.Design and deliver comprehensive individual and group projects with in-depth and rubric-based feedback to students and families.Partner closely with other teachers to foster an interdisciplinary approach to instruction which includes substantial writing, project-based learning, and service-learning.Partner with the School Librarian around media literacy and other technology topics.Communicate and use clear assessment practices and provide regular feedback to students and families.Regularly maintain the digital student gradebook of each student.Write comprehensive narratives for each child and hold family conferences two times a year.Fulfill assigned pick-up, drop-off, lunch, and recess coverage duties.Participate enthusiastically in the greater life of the school.Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with a masters preferred. Experience in the field is advantageous.
