Technician X-Ray

Patient and Room Preparation

• Enter patient data into computer systems as necessary.
• Print.
• Ensure assigned room is properly equipped with linen.
• Move patient into procedure room either on stretcher, wheelchair or ambulating.
• Assist in transfers of patient to x-ray table if necessary.

Obtain Radiographic Images

• Proper setting of exposures factors.
• Proper positioning of the patient including immobilizing devices if necessary.
• Observe all rules and regulations regarding patient identification and radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Maintain all necessary records of films, fluoro time, etc.
• Train students.

Maintain Orderliness and Cleanliness

• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned area.
• Clean and orderly work area.

Skills

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist in NYSARRT Certification.
• OHS Fit Test and Annual Assessment.
• Preferred Associate's Degree.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable information while training other associates and students.

Schedule

• Day.
• Scheduled Hours: 9 AM-5:30 PM.
• Scheduled Daily Hours: 7.5 HOURS.

Pay

• Hourly Rate: $46.11.
