Responsibilities
In all duties, you will adopt a relentless, obsessive, yet disciplined approach to manage details and deliver results.
- Technician, Voice and Data I:
- Installation, testing, turn-up, and troubleshooting of VoIP equipment and maintaining associated databases.
- Install and maintain voice and data equipment at customer locations.
- Identify, troubleshoot, run, and maintain Cat5/6 cable, including patch panel installation and wall fishing.
- Maintain current networks and equipment; design and implement new voice offerings.
- Maintain the corporate IP phone network and work closely with technical personnel to ensure network integrity.
- Resolve customer issues proactively to eliminate outages.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and other companies to test new products and maintain the network.
- Cross-train with other employees and be available via cell phone 24/7.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Technician, Voice and Data II:
- All responsibilities of Technician I.
- Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in the field.
- Coordinate construction and oversee installation of large VoIP deployments and integration into existing data networks.
- Analyze situations accurately and adopt effective courses of action.
- Design and understand complex call flow, including Hunt Groups, Multi-level Auto Attendants, and Call Centers.
- Perform independent circuit turn-up of DIA circuits with EXFO test set.
- Perform independent circuit troubleshooting with OTDR.
- Technician, Voice and Data III:
- All responsibilities of Technician II.
- Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot highly complex voice and data networks.
- Assist in training new Technicians.
- Technician, Voice and Data Senior:
- All responsibilities of Technician III.
- Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot highly complex voice and data networks, including multi-site/campus deployments.
- Assist in training new Technicians.
- Engage with management to develop new processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with other teams during new equipment rollouts to identify training needs.

- Technician, Voice and Data I:
- At least two years of work experience (or equivalent education) in telecommunications or data industry with VoIP and TDM engineering experience.
- Proficiency with VoIP and TDM voice services.
- Basic familiarity with fiber and ability to identify differences in fiber optic cables and connectors.
- Proven ability to turn up DIA circuits with EXFO test set and troubleshoot with OTDR with minimal assistance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational experience.
- Technician, Voice and Data II:
- At least four years of work experience (or equivalent education) in telecommunications or data industry with VoIP and TDM engineering experience.
- Intricate knowledge of and ability to maintain, install, and troubleshoot TDM, VoIP, TCP/IP, Microwave, and Data communication systems and networks.
- Ability to design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex voice and data networks.
- Experience integrating existing services into VoIP offerings, including door phones, overhead paging (SIP and Analog), music on hold, and COAM IVRs.
- Technician, Voice and Data III:
- At least six years of work experience (or equivalent education) in telecommunications or data industry with VoIP and TDM engineering experience.
- Proven experience in routing voice or IP traffic.
- Technician, Voice and Data Senior:
- At least eight years of work experience (or equivalent education) in telecommunications or data industry with VoIP and TDM engineering experience.
- Proven experience in routing voice or IP traffic.
- Proven experience successfully training and leading new team members.
Special consideration will be given to candidates with proven experience in routing voice or IP traffic and training/leading new team members.

Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit for long periods using a computer keyboard and mouse while viewing a computer screen.
- Ability to perform accurate analysis and data entry for extended periods.
- Travel required to inspect and analyze customer premises and equipment.
- Traversing indoor and outdoor property, including kneeling, bending, sitting, climbing, reaching, and standing.
- Must have an appropriate driver’s license and be insurance eligible.
- Expected to work evenings and weekends as needed.
