Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift in a standing position to prepare and manage outgoing shipments.
• Accurately pick, pack, label, stage, and/or load products onto delivery trucks.
• Ensure all shipment documentation is completed accurately and that orders are processed, tracked, and delivered on time.
• Frequently mount and dismount forklifts throughout the shift.
• Perform in a fast-paced environment that involves regular lifting of materials.
• Cross-train across multiple workstations, beginning with an initial observation period.
• Support operational objectives by assuming additional duties as needed.

Workstations

• Bin Picker: Utilize an RF scanner to identify and retrieve items from shelving and rack locations. Place items on a cart and transport to moving conveyor lines for distribution.
• Stand-Up Picker: Operate a stand-up picker and use an RF scanner to retrieve items from shelving and rack locations. Transport items on the picker to moving conveyors.
• Forklift Picker: Operate a stand-up forklift to retrieve larger items from storage locations. Transport materials on pallets or in pallet boxes to designated pack-out areas.
• Truck Packing: Pack pallet loads with finished goods, ensure documentation is included, print and apply labels, and verify shipment accuracy.
• Small Package Packing: Pack individual orders, prepare shipping labels, and secure boxes using a banding machine.

Tools and Equipment

• Staple guns, utility knives, stand-up forklifts, cherry picker forklifts, RF scanner computer/software, printers, banding machine, pallet jack, step ladder.

Protective Personal Equipment

• Eye protection (UPS areas), steel toe boots, anti-fatigue mats, and anti-cut gloves.

Work Environment

Work is conducted in a climate-controlled environment that may be noisy and includes frequent forklift traffic. Workers are expected to collaborate with team members to maintain consistent production flow and meet established pace requirements.

Essential Job Requirements

• Maintain good attendance, including working overtime as required.

• Consistently meet production, safety, and quality standards.
• Participate in daily pre-work stretching programs.
• Obtain and maintain stand-up and cherry picker forklift certification.
• Wear required personal protective equipment.
• Comply with customer requirements (e.g., shipping instructions, packaging requirements).
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
