Responsibilities & Duties
- Analyze a wide variety of rejected electronic assemblies (product) using a variety of test equipment, simulators and troubleshooting skills to perform necessary testing and inspections to determine root cause of failures with minimal instructions after training.
- End-to-end technical support for users/customers.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems with product, define possible solutions and clearly define root cause of problem.
- Resolving equipment failures.
- Adheres to safety guidelines in performing all job functions and duties.
Education & Experience
- An associate degree in electronics or equivalent technical school.
- Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and follow written and verbal descriptions.
- Ability to use multimeter and power supply.
- Repair, modification, and rework experience to PCB assemblies (in Manufacturing or Engineering environments a bonus).
- Experience in tech support or equivalent life experience.
Skills And Knowledge
- Basic electronic knowledge.
- Proficient with power and hand tools.
- Experience with the use of multi meter.
- Experience with circuit board troubleshooting.
- Soldering and de-soldering skills with surface mount and through hole components.
- Communication skills for employee/customer interactions.
- Computer and math skills enough to perform department related tasks.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to work/communicate effectively with people.
- Able to follow established procedures.
- Able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
- Ability to handle and assemble small parts.
- Able to work with a diverse range of people.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday. 8 Hour Shift. Day Shift.
