Technician, Sanitation (1st Shift 6:00am-2:30pm)

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs daily, weekly and monthly sanitation tasks (Master Cleaning Schedule)
• Follows all sanitation safety and food safety guidelines
• Supports Production CIP’s
• Completes all associated documents related to task per facility document requirements
• Operates PIT equipment
• Operates cleaning equipment
• This role will be required to taste test product as needed, up to a couple ounces per test

Requirements

• Must successfully complete and maintain the Lassonde Pappas Forklift Certification
• Ability to read and write
• To work in a safe manner following all PPE requirements

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Frequent: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in area of responsibility.
• Occasional: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.

Pay

• Sign-On Bonus: $1,000, payable during the pay period following successful completion of 90 days of continuous employment
• Retention Bonuses: Two additional $500 bonuses paid at 6 months and 1 year of employment, contingent upon active employment and good standing
• Annual Merit Increases: Eligible for yearly performance-based pay increases

• Based out of Sparta, Michigan location

Skills

• Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and EPA regulations
• Understanding of SQF and GMP standards
• Ability to operate forklift and related cleaning equipment
• Ability to follow sanitation and food safety guidelines
• Ability to read and write
• Ability to work safely and follow all PPE requirements
