We are currently seeking a Power Electronics Technician to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. The level will depend on the candidate’s experience. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly, and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. The Role Support the test setups for power electronics labs (functional, environmental, thermal, durability, etc.)Perform and monitor tests as needed by the test plan e.g. EOL and thermal measurementsSupport the failure analysis/root cause analysis for failed units/componentsWiring high voltage cables, coolant lines, and low voltage cables to test stationsTroubleshoot potential set up errorsPrepare harnesses and connectors according to engineers’ requirementsKeep the lab organized according to 5S methodologyBe part of a team that develops amazing electronics products Qualifications Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and componentsBasic understanding of HV and LV wiring and ability to read schematicsBasic experience with setting up and programming thermal chambersBasic experience with cooling systems (antifreeze, coolant, refrigerant) Strong mechanical skillsHands-on mentalityStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to be flexible and responsiveAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionGood understanding on how to work safely and efficiently in the lab Preferred Good understanding of lab equipment e.g. climate chambers, chillers, battery simulators, etc.Over 3 years of experience as technician At Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it! Compensation Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. Base Pay Range (hourly) $35—$48 USD Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program.
