Location: Walpole, MA
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, test, and repair UPS systems and power electronics down to the component level
- Set up and operate electronic test equipment to diagnose product defects
- Document failure symptoms, repair actions, and test results
- Analyze repair data to identify trends and support root cause analysis
- Partner with sustaining and design engineers to resolve product issues and implement improvements
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring defects and recommending corrective actions
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians
- Follow ISO procedures and production quality standards
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Support engineering changes and product updates (ECOs)
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent technical training
- 3+ years of experience testing and repairing power electronics at the component level
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, and electronic loads
- Strong soldering skills, including SMT components
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Experience with troubleshooting tools and software (e.g., serial communication tools like PuTTY or HyperTerminal)
- Familiarity with 8D or similar structured problem-solving methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Pay
$65K - $90K (DOE)
