Technician Medical Surgical– Neurology - Days - Fresh, Meadows (Queens) Location

About the role

Medical Assistant performs a variety of clinical and clerical functions, in accordance with established policies and procedures, to assist the practitioners and management in daily office operations. This is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Prep and assist in the exam room
• Triage patients
• Collects urine, stool and draw blood samples
• Take and record height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse of patients

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• A minimum of one-year medical assistant experience or internship in a physician practice

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant experience within a neurology healthcare setting
• Epic experience
• Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCT

Preferred Criteria

• Bilingual Spanish or Bengali highly preferred

Schedule

Full-Time 36.25 hr. position Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM; overtime as needed. Must be flexible with varied work schedule hours. May be required to cover for other practice locations within Queens.

Pay

Salary Range: $32.55–$39.06/Hourly
