About the role

Performs floor and ceiling tile work for District buildings, considering safety concerns (e.g., tripping hazards).

Responsibilities

  • Installs and repairs resilient floor coverings, carpeting, rubber base and associated trim, and acoustical ceiling tile
  • Determines appropriate mastic and floor material
  • Heat welds various resilient floor coverings
  • Operates power equipment
  • Loads and unloads floor materials at district warehouse
  • Prepares and creates layouts, sketches and drawings
  • Performs demolition work on existing materials prior to new installation
  • Evaluates repairs; modifies and performs repairs using blueprints; and considering building codes and standards
  • Performs work and cross trains in at least one other trade as an apprentice
  • Assists with snow removal efforts on a 24 hour on-call basis
  • Responds to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Prepares and cleans up job site taking into consideration safety concerns of self and others, and disposes of waste and flammable materials
  • Perform other duties, as requested

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four (4) years experience (L2: Journeyman level)
  • Must have and maintain a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet District insurability standards

  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us

Pay

Salary Range: $31.053 - $31.618
