About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in a structural steel or heavy manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Production Manager and Shop Foreman to coordinate routine maintenance of shop equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain shop machinery, including CNC equipment.
- Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on company forklifts, vehicles, and trailers, and complete inspection logs.
- Perform routine safety inspections on company forklifts, vehicles, and trailers.
- Complete weekly machine inventory and grease logs.
- Inspect the facility periodically for necessary maintenance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Operating knowledge of CNC machines such as Beamline, Plasma Table, and Plate Processors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems up to 480 volts.
- Experience repairing and maintaining cranes and hoists.
- Experience repairing and maintaining welding machines, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and diesel equipment.
- Working knowledge of motors and controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- At least 3 years of electrical troubleshooting experience required.
- At least 3 years of mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Experience with forklift maintenance and oil changes preferred.
- Experience repairing welding machines preferred.
- At least 3 years of preventive maintenance experience preferred.
