Technician III - Shop ($5000 Sign-on Bonus)

About the role

Sunstate Equipment Co. offers a unique opportunity for a Technician III - Shop position, offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Immediate hiring is available.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service on equipment, including checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
• Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
• Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
• Major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3+ years’ experience as diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment rental background preferred.
• Necessary tools valued at $5,000+ in total.
• Team-player, able to support the team to achieve goals.
• Self-starter and motivated to be successful.

Qualifications

Required skills and experience include:

• Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
• Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains.
• Moderate to advanced knowledge of welding techniques (MIG & SMAW).

Skills

Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.

Pay dependent on experience; PAID WEEKLY! Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00PM (Overtime Eligible)

Based in our shop in Odessa, TX with the occasional need to maintenance or repair equipment in the field.
